Outsourcing Support Services LOCS team members have gained their experience working for companies like Sema, IBM, Siemens, Unisys, CSC and PA as well as for organisations that have been outsourced. This broad experience means we can offer a wide range of support services to our clients. There are four key stages:
LOCS can provide expertise at any or all of the above stages from giving general advice to providing an independent view to resolve a specific issue. Once the decision to outsource has been made and the initial groundwork has been completed, the transition process offers a considerable challenge to the outsourced organisation and staff. A smooth transition is one of the keys to success and this often depends on experience and knowledge which the customer does not have but the outsource company does. Frequently (at any of the above stages) there is a need for a helping hand from an independent source - this is exactly what LOCS provides. We can cover transition support including third party management and transfer, asset management (what to transfer and how), and general support and guidance to help avoid the many pitfalls on the road to a successful outsourcing partnership. Communication, co-ordination and service level management are critical factors. In order to make these easier, managed workshops can be provided for all staff levels. There are a number of stages in the process where such workshops are valuable, three key ones are covered by our standard workshop agenda (initial communication, transition management, relationship building), and in addition the LOCS customer manager may define variations or customised workshops depending on the specific requirements of the outsourced company.
